black spot under mouth

Its hard to see the spot. The pictures are a little out of focus. But my friends chinese water dragon had a similar looking spot from what I can see and naturally assumed mouth rot. After he took it to the vet they determined it was a burn and he just needed to put neosporin (or something similar) on it for a couple of days. Cleared it right up.
 
Hopefully it's something as simple as that! He's a good looking cham! Shedding would just make him look better :)
 
he does crawl around on the ceiling close to the light alot but he i think he might be shedding also.

If theres a chance lights are burning him u gotra raise em. If that makes it to cold ya gotta up the wattage. If ur chams spend time on the top screen like mine its a must
 
if you can post a truly focused and lit shot, i'll be happy to throw in my 2¢.but i can't call anything based on these.
