I know its a matter of personal preference, but always seems odd to me that anyone would want to breed for a lack of changeable color (translucent, hypermelanistic) in animals that are known for their color change.
I have to agree. I personally have never found the other variations of this species appealing at all. I've always felt it was a step backwards in their evolutionary achievements, just IMO.....not to be ugly to those who own and like the variation.
