Hello,
My new juvenile jacksons chameleon has always been bright blue and green while basking. However, lately when I take him outside, no matter how hot it is, he turns completely black or a mottled brown. It's starting to worry me. He also opens his mouth super wide. I think he is dehydrated, and I've been trying to get him to drink. I mist his cage daily and mist him directly at least twice a day. I saw a video where someone squirts water directly onto a chameleons mouth so he would drink, and I've been trying this method because I feel like he never drinks. He has drinken this way a few times, but has stopped recently and just seems annoyed when I spray his mouth. Any help? Thanks!
