Bleeding mouth

my F Jackson, Basil suddenly has a swollen mouth on both sides with one side bleeding. At first it was just one side(left) with a little build up of orange/brown crust. I thought “it’s just a chunk of cricket. When she gets water it’ll wash it down.” But when I went to turn her lights off today I saw one side had been bleeding(left) and the other(right side) had the same crust build up. I called her vet to get an appointment ASAP but I was hoping if anyone knew what this could be from.

Looks like a temporal gland infection. The glands will need to be cleansed out, a culture and sensitivity test done and an appropriate antibiotic given. Likely bacteria is pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Thank you. While waiting for a vet appointment, what else can I do to help her? Should I clean her face or leave it alone?
