Bleeding, swelling, and white on face...

It's a hobby UVB light. No they didn't send me with any. SInce where I live they are not common they don't have special stuff like that. They had to do it by injection :\

i forgot to mention. they didn't de-pus the part close to her eye because they didn't want to risk it.
1 more thing:
she keeps moving with her eyes closed. i don't know if she is asleep or not. can anyone tell me about this? by moving i mean moving her head higher and taking a couple steps; all with her eyes closed

What did they inject her with>

oftentimes they will send home liquid antibiotics to give orally.

what is a hobby uvb light? is that a brand?

if she doesnt improve by her next appointment, she should have the part by her eye lanced too, as again, it has to be lanced for meds to work.

iF shes moving, shes not asleep, she just feels like crap and wants to keep her eyes closed.

hobby is a brand. they injected her with antibiotics but they wear off in a few days. they also injected her with of course treatment and pain killer i think. i'm going to ask them to lance it next time unless they say no again.

OK.
I would replace your uvb.

whats the weather like outside? can you take her out?

natural uvb is great for them, much better than bulbs.

and as a side note- not enough uvb did not cause her face to end up like that.

i would suggest asking them to lance it.

and you may need to do several several injections to clear her up.

ask if maybe they can send you home with some baytril for an antibiotic.
its an oral you just squeeze the measured amount into her mouth.

The weather is hot and will get humid. I took her out today.

Today I made an outdoor cage (bird cage) that the vet told me to gradually increase the amount of time she stays in it.

I will ask them to lance it.

They didn't give me anything to orally give because she is going through a lot of pain. I think they did actually do oral medication today. I saw them holding her mouth open when I looked through the window in the door. The antibiotics should last a couple days then I take her in every 3 days until it is all better. It was cheap to for the antibiotics. $1.50 each injection

I've given antibiotics by injection. Every three days for a couple of weeks. It worked well. Up her fluids while she is on them as they can be hard on their kidneys. Good luck:)

Good. im hoping shell get better then.

SHe can stay in that outdoor cage all day as long as she cant get out.
you dont have to gradually introduce her to it.

It was only an hour today because she actually can fit through. I'm going to get some mesh or chicken wire tomorrow to wrap it around the outdoor cage.

Thank you. The only reason I'm not doing it is that I'm somewhat sensitive to those things and I wouldn't want to mess anything up. I'd rather a vet do it :)

My mom is still nervous for her though because she thinks we might have gone to late :\
I hope she's wrong.
Another thing, is it normal if she tries to itch her face on branches and stuff like that?

I would say her face is sore. Try and keep her hydrated. If you don't think she is picking up we will tell you how to make bug juice:D Chams can go for several weeks without food.:)

Ok. Just wanted to make sure that was why.
Haha, bug juice :p

If she has a facial infection I would keep her in a sterilized ten gallon with no real plants or sticks as she could rub on them, scratch herself, and further the bad infection. I would do my best to keep the tank or cage she lives in very smooth with nothing she could rub her face on and further irritate the infection.

Do you have any picture updates?

Vet Visit No.2

Today we went to the vet again. All is normal as expected. Nothing major going on except for what had been explained. He tried to get some of the puss out of the swollen area by her eye but he said it was to risky. He also said if he 100% thought he had to pinch the part by her eye he would.

All is well for now! :)
