hell no u dont want that unless your going to be shooting birds..you need a deadicated macro lens that goes up to 1:1 life size..go for canon 60mm or canon 100mm macro lens.or the sigma 105mm.

i use canon 60mm but for this shot i used canon mpe-65..think it was around 2:1 life size.
