Bottom bin for catching water

I use citter litter bins that sorta fit to catch water in that general area of heaviness.
Tapplastic.com if you have them in your states, or a similar store. You can also ask them make a hole in diameter that you wanted, so you dont hvae to.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot, buy a piece of corrugated roofing (or find a piece suitable for your project on Craigslist or at a garage sale). Place a large container or stand on the floor (the same size or a bit larger than the foot print of your cage). Place a square 1/2" dowel on top of the container (in a front to back position) or stand... either on the far right side or far left side (depending on which direction you want the water to flow). Place two longer 1/2" dowels (one in the front, one in the back (to support the roofing piece)). Place the corrugated roofing piece on top, then the cage. Place another good size container (your drainage catch bin) on the floor underneath the low side of your roofing. Let the fun begin.

I use dura trays.
You can find them where ever rabbit cages and supplies are sold, and in all kinds of sizes.
I just drill a hole in the corner to drain

But they don't come in a 22" wide by 34"long my cage is 24" wide by 36" long and for a tray to fit it needs to be those dimensions and probably 2 or 2 1/2 inches tall

The inside is 22" wide and 34" long the outside is 24 by 36 so I need one that is the first set of dimensions and probably 2 inches tall

Are u looking for a tray for ur cage to sit in to catch water runnig down the sides or a tray to sit inside or a tray to sit underneith to be dumped regularly?

I'd skip that and find one for ur cage to sit in.. I'd mesh the bottom so crickets don't escape buy a washing machine pan. There shallow large and usually have a drain hole that can ve led into a bucket.
If u try to find something for inside i personally think with all the water that Will run down the screen and go around the bottom pan plus the cost of having it made is far more hassle then finding a pan. Slightly larger and setting the cage in it. IMO

You might like this idea. Seems to be the easiest to make, cheapest, easiest to clean, and takes up the least amount of space compared to other options i've tried. It's a piece of flexible plastic sold at Home Depot in 4 ft. x 8 ft. sheets for about $15. You cut out a square of it a 6 inches wider than the width of your cage. Cut holes in the legs of your cage base (if you have legs that is). The holes cut should be about 2 inches wider than the legs on one side, and 4 inches wider than the legs on the second side. This creates a bow in the plastic that is slanted to one side. As you can see in the picture, it is bowed to the right so everything drains in the 5 gallon bucket that I have. This system works perfectly. No issues of any leaks to the floor. One of the keys is to make sure you cut the leg holes to the exact size of the legths. This well keep any dripping from running down the legs. Feel free to message me if you want some more info.
