One of the Bradypodion I've been missing off my list for a long time, strangely enough only a 2 and a half hour drive from my house! Thankfully managed to kick this one off eventually.
Thanks to Chris Anderson for the invaluable insight in terms of habitat which greatly assisted in finding these amazing chameleons.
Interestingly many of individuals I found where during the day which is most unusual for field herping in the province.
Male in reed bed alongside small stream.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
Young male and adult female, note the female missing a portion of her tail.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
Young Male.
Female basking on small flowering plant.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
Two Males found a few feet apart. Note smaller male showing it's submissive behaviour.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
Small Male at night.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
Female at night low in dense grassy vegetation.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
Adult male showing exquisite colouration in the late afternoon.
Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon
For Size Comparison
