Branch too big?

Ok, when we moved Karma into her new enclosure we put in several widths of vines and branches. We gave he a horizontal basking branch that we cut from our tree outside.
Yesterday she fell/slipped off it twice. Once it was wet from misting. The other time she was turning around and hanging off it crazy-like and didnt get up and fell.
Her grip is great(I hauled her out and checked her over both times and she was climbing and grasping all over me with a firm grip) and she does fine on the other branches/vines we have in there.
Branch in question is almost an 1 inch in diameter and while not rough... it isnt completely smooth either.

She is a small veiled even though she is 18 months old.

Think it is just too wide for her to get a decent grip?

If like the branch. Take it out and rough it up with sandpaper or if your like me pull out the power sander or grinder. lol That will give he something to grip.

That is what we thought and were hoping for!

It was a day from HE double toothpicks yesterday. Had to put our ancient dog to sleep and my kids were a mess, as were us grownups. Then Karma fell from her branch twice and we were freaking out at first that something was wrong with her.

And last week my baby pacman frog that has been failure to thrive finally gave up the ghost and passed away.

We will be replacing it with a smaller branch on Friday then!

Thank you, we had been expecting it for a couple years but he kept hanging in there.
Over the weekend while visiting family for Easter he started bleeding from the mouth and it just got worst.
We just had to make the decision which was a better place for him.
