I was afraid to use them too at first. Is seems like the noobs(like me) are always talking about baking them, sanding them, bleaching them, ect. The expierenced members always say the same thing. Just cut them off the tree and toss them in! I started doing the same with no problems and plan on going branch hunting today
Not really! just make sure you get rid of the leafs and buds, etc etc. You can always scrub it in clean warm water if your in doubt, but iam sure you will only harvest the best branches like i will.
You really don't have to do anything if they are from your yard and you are sure they are free of pesticides. I got mine right off my tree in my front yard and scrubbed a few down and then realized it really was a waste of time. All my branches have been used over the past year and my chameleon is still alive and happy!!!
