Brand new Veiled owner!! :)

So the plan to call Dr. Wheelock was snowed out!! We've been snowed in our house for the past two days! I'm over it! lol But as for Spock (he has a name now! :) ). He seems to be doing a bit better! I have makeshift dripper system in there now, water with a bit of calcium powder in it, and have been feeding him crickets with calcium powder as well. He looks better, has more of an appetite now. And his legs don't look quite as "gumby-ish" actually. So that makes me feel like I'm doing something right. But I'm going to call the vet either way, as soon as I know places around here are open. Just wanted to update ya'll on Spock! :)

He seems to be doing better. He's moving around a lot more than he was. He's still a little shaky, but not near as bad as he was. He has a huge appetite! He doesn't seem as moody either. He hissed at my husband the other day for putting some calcium powder on a dish in his house, but not at me yesterday when I did it. So, I'm guessing he's feeling better? He's even eating out of our hands. His colors are good too. He seems really happy now. He's fat and happy :) Thank you for all your help! I would probably have gone crazy trying to figure out how to help him on my own. Ya'll are the best!

Oh, I've been thinking of adding some veggies to his diet. But I don't want to give any that will block calcium intake. What would you recommend there?

Good news! Doc says no sign of MBD! He does have to gain some weight, and has a slight calcium deficiency, but can be fixed! They're going to write a script for something to help out with that. His legs are a little wonky most likely from some form of dysplasia when he was a baby. So, we're going to keep on the route that we've been on. And take him in for a recheck when he's put on some more weight! :) Thank you all so much for your help!!! Ya'll are awesome!!

Wow that is crazy! I would have thought for SURE he had MBD with those rounded legs! Glad he doesn't! And glad he found you!
