Breedin Dubias

Lol you're probably right....
How do you tell male n female??

I stole this :eek:off of another web site about Dubias...actually in the UK;)

And in case you cant tell from these photos it's the last section of the body (belly) Females are really large males small.
They are able to be sexed by this at all ages. Wings are only as adults and by then it is REALLY obvious!!

males have short wings, females have wings that cover their entire body

roaches live up to 2 years and stop breeding after that

Males are the ones with wings that cover the whole body. Females are the ones with short stubby wings.

Your right of course but we are talking sexing nymphs. Along with wings there is a considerable size difference for the females to carry 40 nymphs:eek:

Cool that his discussion came up. I've been having a recent crix strike with Caesar and picked up an 8 oz. tub from feederbreeders.com, I met the breeder at a recent reptile expo. It came with a mix BUNCH of very small to adult roaches and everything in between...I'd say at least 5 male and 10 female adults. I bought a 10 gal. Sterilite plastic tub and lid. Right now I'm feeding them some "Cricket Crack", Carrots, Mustard Greens, Collard Greens, Kale. Looks like I could use lots more egg crate though.
