Breeding crickets

what type of breeding bed can I use for crickets? Is play sand ok?
I use topsoil mixed with playsand. Place in a small rectangle Rubbermaid container, about 1 or 2 inch deep. Place a piece of screen across the container on top of the dirt. Mist it with water, place in the crickets cage. Place a regular 60 watt light bulb above the crickrt container. The light will make the crickets mate and the females will go to the Rubbermaid container and lay on the screen to deposit her eggs into the soil. After approximately 10 days take the rubbermaid container and place in a 5 gallon aquarium with a screen cover, dump the dirt into the aquarium. Place a 60 watt red heat light on top. Make sure that you always keep the dirt moist during the crickets laying eggs and after u dump the dirt. The dirt cannot continously be dry. In about 2 weeks you will have baby crickets the size of fleas. Make sure u have food and water for them. I use oranges, water calcium gel, and gut loader orange cubes. They will grow up before u know it. I hope this helps u!!
