New at the breeding of Panthers ..Have done Jacksons so the question I have can I breed Nosy Faly Male with a Mitsio Femaie..

Thanks for your help

Mike

Yes, you can. Except cross breeding makes a chameleon worth less, because you can not really expect what they will look like, and are usually not good looking.

Hi Mike, there wouldn't be a problem with breeding the two locales together, they are the same species. I have two female mitsios, and for a minute thought I would breed them to my Nosy Be, but then I shook my head and said no, I will do the responsible thing and get a male Mitsio, not like I'm going to complain about getting more chams lol. Panthers have their amazing colours/locales because of staying in the same area. My concern, and others, would be that you are crossing "morphs" that these guys in the wild took many years to establish. Most people want pure bloodlines, so selling those babies could be difficult. Here in Canada there aren't too many Faly and Mistio available, so I know we appreciate the few that are pure:D

When i bought mine i was told he was a true blue nosy be but was told on here that Mine is a cross and he looks great. Was told on here he might be nosy be/ambilobe

I'm getting my on Thursday. I wanted as close to a true nosy be as possible. Even though I love the true blue in them I really wanted one that we didn't breed for the blue. I wouldn't be able to tell you what you have but he is pretty.

Hi mike
Theirs nothing wrong with crosses. Yes they are worth less but some of the most insanely colored chameleons are crosses.
Most on this forum will tell you not to do it and that is looked down upon.
That's not true. I've played with crosses and their is a lot bigger fan base for them but it's outside the forums.

That being said, I also believe their should be pure locals as well. Especially the harder to get locals like mitsos.

My advise is if you wanna cross them go for it but do it with more common locals.

You can do what ever you want you own the chams don't listen to some of these people on here! Look at the Ball python morphs
