I put my female in my males cage.He bowed up and attacked her and threw her out of the tree. (left teeth marks on her) I got her out fast... why would he do that ? He has never done that before....
I Would not recommend just putting a male and and a female in the same cage, especially in the male's cage due to an invasion of territory.
Try introducing the male to the female and observe the reaction from both ends . the male generally is always ready to mate, like humans the female has to be receptive and depending on what species you own, you might be able to tell from the colouration of the female.
What species are they and how old are they?
Do not put them together again until you see a mutual reaction to mate as it will stress both male and female..
One year old ambilobe male ...ambilobe female 53g .....7 months I think ... ....I did not think about territory cause she was female ....in fact normally I put him in the female cage... but today I put them in his outside cage because it was a pretty day. Thank you so much
