Breeding tortoise

I just got a male Russian tortoise ones 5 inch the female , and the male is 6 inch. I’m very excited to breed them and when they do is it bad to use it’s daughter as another breeder for him so one doesn’t get to tired? Also how long will it take for them to breed starting now?

The female has been with me for like 3 months

You might wanna try the other pets section for this one. Personally, I would not line breed that closely. The closest I would consider is maybe half siblings to one another, and then only in a pinch. Good luck.

Is there something wrong with breeding with its daughter I admit it kinda weird but I don’t wanna tire the one female out. If I do do this I’ll have the daughter lay eggs and then use her daughter for him and then use THAT ones daughter for him Lol

Honestly, line breeding that closely greatly increases the odds of a shorter life span and other health problems.
