breeding

the last comment makes it seem like you can but extremely difficult
It wasn't meant too  I've said 'not possible' already, I've said 'impossible' . So, one more try - possible not :D, ok?;)

Ladies and Gentleman, the rare and never before captured on film (Vanthereiled):D

Lol, I stand corrected said the man in the orthopedic shoes........

P.s. this is a joke - it is still impossible..........

You just can't. It has nothing to do with stress or crazy experiments - you just couldn't. I'm not going to get into a lecture about genetics and the process of fertilization, but these two species are too distantly related to form anything viable.

And they can and will mate on occasion, without being forced. And even if eggs are laid there is never going to be anything viable in them. Not from panthers x veileds, anyway.

That is awesome. If only. *sigh*
Oh well. However, if a regular veield started showing some blue bar or red bar coloring like ambilobes do, or some crazy blues like noseys, that would awesome in soooo many ways.

The two genus are too distantly related to produce offspring. They may mate but there is no chance of producing viable eggs.

so what could i breed with that is cool and not veiled?

Panthers have a variety of different locales that you can mix. For example, an Ambilobe (Which is rainbow colored) and a Nosey Be (Which are generally blue) can be cross bred and have Ambilobe x Nosey Be babies. The colors will usually be a mix.

(I used Ambilobe and a Nosey be as an example because they are two very common Panther locales.)

As requested by Pilotman :D, i give you, the Vanthereiled new breed

I have a veiled though

Patrick, I admire your persistence, really I do :D. It's a Veiled Chameleon! Breed it with its own species you little mad scientist! And she's too young, lol. Have you ever kept or bred lizards/ Chameleons before?

This is what I have. Calais is awesome

So? :D If you had a dog would you really try to breed it with a ferret just to do something cool? Stick to veileds. I'm not one of those people that is against breeding different panther locales together but what's the fascination with creating different species? You certainly can't, and there are a myriad of awesome chameleon species out there that are stunning in so many different ways.

This is one of those questions that I can't understand why they come up so often. If such a creature existed, you would certainly see it for sale somewhere. Just like the gecko hybrids that people sell, which are different species bred together.
