Bring your Pet to work day

Hey Everyone. Every Friday my company has "Bring your dog" day. But everyone here is OBSESSED with my NosyBe Clarence. They ask me weekly to bring him in, but I havent (to the point its almost bugging me). I keep trying to let them know they arent pets like that. But thinking about it, Clarence is a very social cham, he is a year old. He never hisses or even tries to bite anyone.

I have one of the smaller screen cages from when he was a baby, If I brought in his heat lamp, and his big tree that he likes to sit in when I take him out of his 2x2x4, would it be a bad thing if I brought him in for my first half of the day? 9am to my lunch at noon, then bring him back home???

What are your opinions. my commute is very short. probably 2 miles on the street, no freeway.

I wouldnt want to harm him in any way trying to let my co-workers get a real life look at him.

If he is healthy and people don't stress him out I would do it with the precautions you mentioned. Just keep an eye on him for undue stress.

My concern would be all the dogs floating about if he isn't used to dogs they might freak him out.

I agree :D if he wont be bothered by it, TAKE HIM :) I take my one panther on quick trips w/ me if I am not getting out of the car- he has quite the fan club at the bank :p I would take a sheet too maybe tough just encase he does get upset you can cover a bit of the cage for him - if you take him......you know we will demand pics of his adventure ;) :D

Well the good news is its one pet per week. So if he comes there will be no dogs around. We do it to attempt to lighten up the office mood.

So It looks like I will sign up and bring him in for everyone to stare at! Everyone will be so excited... I will take some photos also.

that is great you work at someplace like that :D and by seeing your beautiful cham, more ppl will see how wonderful they are - def/ post pics of your "pet day" :)

I take my social panther Oscar to events regularly. He isn't stressed by them in the least. He lets anyone hold him and will shoot bugs for crowds. So if your guy seems to be social too see how he does with it!

i take my veiled with me on quick errands, she just sits on top my hat. only thing is she hates being outside wide open, but once im back in my car or inside a building she is back to being green :)

other than that she doesnt care for other ppl, she seems to enjoy staring at everyone
