I have a 10 month old Female Panther chameleon, have had her with me for 7-8 months. She lives at a constant 70-80 temp with a basking spot of 90 and humidity levels ranging from 65 to 75. Full screen cage dressed with a few fake vines, real branches and a small umbrella plant to keep humidity in. Use a 24"repti sun 5.0, zoomed basking lamp with daylight heat bulb(60 watt), automatic mister and I mist her manually twice a day. Her diet consists of crickets mainly but have periodically switched to mealworms, hornworms, silkworms and the occasional butterfly or moth , crickets gutloaded with repashybug burger, dusted with Herptivite and Calcium...10-12 a day All free range method. Handling is very rare, maybe once a week for 5-10 minutes if that much.
A few weeks ago I noticed that her back knees(joints) had white spots on them, thought it was probably time to shed, so didn't over think it. She shed her skin a few days ago and now those spots are really dark and one had a speck of blood on it. Very odd she has a great grip and would not believe it was from a fall. Also on her torso there is a discolored spot, which immediately made me think of contact burns. So I have adjusted momentarily the basking lamp so if it is a burn it wont get worse.
Also I have recently realized that her aim isn't that great, she has missed her targets numerous times, which i would imagine could be a vitamin deficiency so I will provide her with more adequate vitamins to see if that solves the aim of her hunting.
If you guys have any comments or suggestions please let me know. Pictures below of the named bruises or spots.
