ive been told by the vet to brush my chams teeth with tamodine. has anyone else done this if so can anyone give me some advice on how to get his mouth open or how to do it?

why did your vet recommend to brush its teeth. Im just curious. Is there signs of infection or was their an injury? This would be the first I have ever heard of this so thats why I ask.

Is there any reason why you're told to do this? I can't imagine any good reason to brush chameleon's teeth, but there are some to use Tamodine for mucosa lesions.

my cham as explained in my other thread wont use his tongue. the vet said he has a tiny bit of bacteria build up or something on his teeth/gums. his gum line is a little bit yellowish which is normal in chams so to brush his teeth with tamodine. only problem is i cant work out how to do it lol

basically you are treating your chameleon for an infection , makes sense. I just used a qtip and was able to smear meds on the infected area when I had a slightly visible mouth rot. Your seems to be the teeth though so you might need him to open wider which I can't help you there sorry. Hope you figure it out and the chameleon makes a good recovery. Make him gape if possible. Mirrors seem to make them do it naturally.
