Build threads?

From a background of build threads of reef tanks, it seems a bit strange to me that a similar method is not applied to looking after chams. Obviously there may be a reason but I have not found it yet. Ideas?

What are you looking for exactly? Threads that show "how to" of building enclosures? If so, I have seen some on here over the years.

It is different in reefing. I think you don't see the build threads here because the caging is pretty standard, most people are using the same species of plants, and there isn't a lot of lighting choices. There are some stickies on drainage systems.

I can say that when I got out of chameleons and got into reefing not much carried over. When I switched back to chameleons I was able to use a lot of what I learned about lighting, especially building my own fixtures.

I'm not sure what specifically you're looking for but there are a ton of build threads that different people have posted on here (myself included). Different people have made cages that are quick and inexpensive and others have made some really over the top impressive cages. The best thing would be to search for "DIY" and see what comes up, that's what I did when I was researching how to build my first cage. Yes, there are a bunch of build threads, they are usually in the enclosures and supplies section. Many people post step by steps of their custom cages, backgrounds etc.
