building a 4x4x6 cage

Plenty of people have posted various plans and it shouldn't be too hard to design your own. The most common things I've seen are:

-aluminum screen so crix won't chew through it
-make sure to coat the wood with plenty of chameleon-safe waterproofing both before and after you assemble the pieces
-make sure to build some kind of base for drainage

My old cage was built off the spec from the melleri discovery site. It works well, but drainage can be a hassle. The water tended to pool up after a while.

Home improvement stores sell kits to make screen doors, you can use those to build it. I replaced the bottom of my reptibreeze like this. Worked well for me.:D

I've seen plans on here for building the cages too, try searching it.

Here's my big build (in pdf form)

That one is 3' x 4' x 8' (the top is effective 6.5')

This is my newer one (smaller, but has a few improvement over the last)

That one is 2' x 2' x 7'

If you search for custom, you should bring up a lot of hits on here!

I looked at your projects and your cages are really nice! But i got one problem. I am a complete noob at building lol so i had no idea how to do any of that stuff. :(

It's not like I'm a pro! :D I just tinker away and do what I can! Till the first time, I hadn't built anything like it (the first was the giant one!). I just played with ideas and went for it! Just take your time and anyone can do it! I did have the luxury of some nice tools I borrowed from my old man though!

If you've got any questions feel free to ask!

Not yet! Sadly haven't had chance to get round to writing it all up! I will do soon, but when I cant say for sure!
