Building my own cage

Yes, I’m a handy woman, planning on building my own cage for Lizzie. What you guys think? Is wood a problem? Can I treat it with some kind of water resistant stuff, or will it be bad for her?

I have this armoire, that I really don’t need... figured if I cut out all the sides and add screen, it should work and look great

I’ve seen a lot of people make their cages out of wood so it should be alright. As for treating the wood, you’ll probably need someone more experienced thank me, I’m not carpenter after all
