I am wondering what kind of paint I can use to paint the wood so that the rain and humidity will not destroy it. What paints are safe for my jackson? building the cage now. want to paint the wood before I screen it in.

I dont want to tell you wrong but me and my friends pretty much use whatever we need from home depot on our tanks and just give it ample time to dry out. We have always had more frogs than anything else and we never had any problems. For example we use that expanding foam to create back walls which is toxic when wet but once it dries it safe. but we alway wait a week before adding frogs. And frogs because of their semipermeable skin are more sensitive to toxins. If it is safe around humans it should be safe around lizards. there are exceptions of course like cedar. I would look for things that have low VOC's. You should just be able to buy treated wood and paint it with a low VOC paint.
