my veiled/yemen chameleon male, which is about 2 and a half years old looks to have a bulge at the front of his eye, but it only appears in the right eye, and is only present when he's sitting and not moveing it, as soon as he starts to move it it's gone and all looks normal. been trying to get a picture of it, but as soon as i get close he looks at me and the bulge has gone.

it's right up against his head in the socket, in the front. it's only been there for 2 days so far. came on after he started shedding.

It kind of sounds like he may have some shed in his eye and is trying to get it out. Does he rub his eye on the branches at all?

he was rubbign hiseye last night, but i didnt think that it was because of that, because there was still some skin around his head and face. but he was rubbing his eye a little more then i have seen before.

Try to get a picture. At about that same age and about that time during or after shedding, my male Veiled will get a little bulge, it almost makes him look like he has an "elephant-wrinkly" eye. I had him looked at by several, and have been told as long as there is no extreme swelling, redness, or irritation, it is probably just a factor of age.

Well, if julirs is right, then he sounds just fine. Of course it probably wouldn't hurt to rinse it with a saline solution if you suspect there may be something in it.

It does sound like your description, i'm waiting for him to do it again so i can get a picture. it doesnt seem to be irritateing him though, so it might not be anything sinister, as it does go down quite quickly when he moves it, and it looks normal. got the camera ready to take a pic. lol

so finally managed to get a picture of it.

As he's sitting about i notice it,

then a few seconds later or when he moves it, it's gone back to normal.
