Is it just me or does anyone else think that butter worms stink. I tried to get Rebel to take one off of my palm and my palm stinks. The smell is strong.

they shouldn't have any smell to them. it might mold in the container or even dead worms. i get rid of all the dead ones when i find them.

I just got them in today. Its a strange smell. Doesn't smell like mold or dead worms. I wonder if its the bedding they are in...

They should have a very light kinda sweet smell but you would have to actually stick yiur nose to them to smell it. Maybe you got a bad batch?

They look nice and healthy. The bedding is sticking together which I read was a good thing. I wonder what kind of fruit they smell like because I wouldn't wanna eat it. LOL They are a pinkish color and nice and fat. Hope its not a bad batch.. I just checked and they are all alive. Should I move them to a bigger container before I refrigerate them? Should I put dry oats on for new bedding or just leave them as is?

I have always found butter worms to have a fruity smell...

Maybe its just me then...lol Would it be ok to replace the bedding with dried oats before I refrigerate them. I felt the bedding they came in and it feels a little damp and I read that dampness is a no no..Plus they are in a very small deli cup.. Do they need more room?

They can stay in that container until they are fed off..and I dont know if it is ok yo refrigerate them? Maybe someone else will chime in? They don't really grow much and will not breed so you can probably just keep them with your other feeder containers.
