If I want to buy a pair for breeding. Is it best to buy from two different breeders (i.e. Kammer and Chameleon Company). From my understanding it is not good to breed siblings.

If I buy from one company would I be safe as long as the sire are different?

It is never been good to breed siblings. I have bred exotic birds before and I always buy male and female from separate store or persons. It does apply to all.

As long as we now spent the same amount of energy to help out this lovely person who started this thread I am sure we will not end up in lizard jail!

When you buy a breeding pair, it is a good idea to communicate with the breeder! Find out about the lineage! As far back as you can! Then pick from bloodlines that are not related and have different features (a blond girl with blue eyes and milk white skin from Germany has hardly any genetic link to a Mexican boy with olive skin and dark brown eyes! The odds of their children together having genetic anomalies are therefore quite inconceivable!). Picking breeders like this helps to prevent issues!

I think you're an excellent breeder and would be a good pick to get a panther from.

Lizard jail. I might like that
