C.calyptratus egg retension (one egg left)

I am thinking that my female reapsorbed all of the eggs except one from her first and only mating. I can feel hard bump bean sized on of her sides. She is eating normally and is acting usual, nothing strange, but I think she has that one egg left for sure. I will go to a vet tomorrow to have an x-ray done and to be sure if that is the egg. What do you think about that? If that is one single egg left, what should I (vet) do? Should he/she give her oxytocyn(or whatever it is called for laying?) Is that same form as for other animals but only smaller dose or what? Anyone has any experience regarding that?

Thanks in advance!

I have not heard of veileds reabsorbing eggs.
How long has it been since she was mated or showed receptive coloration?
Has she stopped eating?

She was mated on the 8th of September...she never dug or was restless looking for laying site. She had big plastic bin full of moist washed sand and some part was coco earth. She never stopped eating as I wrote before and she was a bit plump before, but never lay any egg. I did post some pictures and had one thread going but I can surely feel one round oval hard thin on one of her sides. I am almost sure it is an egg and I am positive that she don't have more, or atleast not many more left, cose wen she is walking and when I palpate her there isn't anything similar in there. So I am curios what to do if that is an egg and that's why I did ask before is it possible for her to lay that egg later with some other clutches either with or without additional mating. I do not have a male right now so I can't let her see him and figure her colors. They only mate and he was sent back home to a friend in another city, he was ona a breeding loan.

And about egg resorbtion I heard and friend, who is studying vet, told me read somewhere and I think it is possible, any other clues what can that hard thing be?

A vet consulted me to get me to guide a person through getting her veiled to lay the eggs she was carrying (confirmed by an x-ray). The female never laid the eggs and was given oxytocin and calcium. She still didn't lay the eggs. I lost touch with the owner. I enquired several months later (expecting that the chameleon would have died, eggbound) and was told by the vet that the chameleon had reabsorbed the eggs and went on to live for several years afterwards.

Yeah, I think that is the case with my female also. I am just curious to know if the egg can be reabsorbed 2-3 months later or imediatelly after the others? What do you guys think? Can you check with the vet that formula of oxytocin? I want to be sure if they give something to my precious female. Thanks!

Ok, I was at the vet and take an x-ray. There are no eggs visible, it probably was the food before it was passed out. Thanks anyone for help! I will post picture of the x-ray later.
