Cage bottom

Our cham has member done this before. I came home from work, went to feed him and he was laying on the bottom of his cage. Which scared me because I thought he was dead. When I reached in the cage he moved, got mad and hissed. Then ran to the top of his cage. Today I get home and he's at the top of the cage, I fed him and he climbs down to the bottom of the cage. My wife asked because she she went to check on him, he was on the bottom of the cage. She reached for him and he hissed and took off. His eyes are fine, he has energy, he's not dehydrated and the cage isn't too hot. The cage sits on top of Dresser so it is high. Anyone else experience this or is there something I should be looking for?

Probably going to need to add in some more info about your setup and what type of Cham you have. But are you sure it’s a he and not a she who could be looking for a lay bin?

• Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
• Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
• Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
• Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
• Location - Where are you geographically located?
