Cage change

I'm thinking of getting some new fake plants/branches for my male veild. Will it be OK if I change up the cage a little? I don't wanna stress the little dude out...

Sure...
In nature their territory changes too sometimes so I'm sure he'll get over it.
Just don't do it on a daily basis.

Your cham will apreciate more foliage and paths.

Ok thanks! The reason I wanted a bit of a change is cause his nails are so long/sharp and found some branches that may help with filing them down. Also in the picture I posted, he stays in that spot almost all day. But adding more branches should help!

Good thinking, I also use branches of different thicknesses so on some he can't completely wrap his paws and the nails will be filled down.

Be happy he's in plain sight all the time. My cham roams alot which makes him extremely hard to find. Often enough I spend 15mins in front of the cage to find him to a point I start to think he's dead somewhere on the floor.

I have looked for mine before also, only to find him staring right at me, right in front of me, that I overlooked multiple times. This is why I named him Waldo.

It was really accurate when he was smaller in the large enclosure, then I thought when he gets older and more colorful then that name won't fit. So far I am wrong, but if they don't have all of their true colors until 18 months of age, still have 7 months to go. Hoping is becomes more red.

To the OP. I just added more vines and leaves to my enclosure yesterday. But if I try to add just plain sticks, he flares up. I added a horizontal branch a month or so ago, he got mad and wouldn't go near it for a day or so, so I removed it. I didn't want to stress him out.

The same thing happened when I added branches to my chams enclosure. I'm thinking he thought it was a snake, but now it's his favorite place to be...

Keep in mind a "little" stress for a male is absolutely fine they need some degree of change to have a well developed brain. It's been proven animals (Especially as well as humans) can become mentally retarded or worse if they feel bored enough for long enough, so changing his environment is the perfect way to do this! I would take him out, put him on some plant or jsut a dang couch (if you have nothing else that will not let him escape forever or get eatten) while you make some changes!

ATM I have 2 empty enclosures so I move some soome of my chams around for fun and let them clean up and crickets that are still hanging around for instance. I think they like the change of scenery, they typically start marching around in it immediately!
