Hi guys I know the recommend cage size for an adult panther is the 24x24x48 but just thinking I would be the unlucky one to get a baby who can’t find it’s food because it’s too big.
I did find this one on lllreptile site it’s a 24x18x36 is this one better? Then the 18x18x36 ? I know bigger is better. What do u guys think

There's no luck involved. You don't need a smaller cage. My tiny female even finds isopods in the dirt, any Cham will find it's food assuming it's healthy

Hi, I can't justify buying a small cage when in a short time you'll be buying the the normal size for a Panther. Believe me he won't have any problem finding his food. 24x24x48 perfect size(y)

Ok ! Now which cage is better ? Does anyone have a strong preference I read that on one the crickets would escape ? And my next question is the misting system, I like the circle one that I have seen. Where do I buy those ?

A lot of us has the have the Repti- breeze. But I have to be honest I hate this cage. I want the Dragon Stand really bad. But being retired I'll have to wait for a while. I fell the other is to flimsy. But what do I know LOL.

I haven’t looked at those yet (dragon stand) but I will now.
yes the Company lets you custom your cage, like changing a side or 2 , to a acrylic from the standard screen. Which in many cases help with humidity. I heard.

How does the drainage tray work ?? Are they easy to remove and clean ?
Go to the home page here and scroll down to the sponser at the bottom. Also a lot of people raves about Lightyourreptiles they're linear lights are great.....I personally love this company. Your hear people toss the name Todd around when talking about lighting that's him from the company.LOL

Dragonstrand are top notch if you wanna fork over the cash
Thanks James, I was hoping you'd help with this conversation (y) . planning on getting one but as a new owner of a Panther, I wanted to make sure I was was in this for the long hual. And I can tell you I'm very committed to my little buddy. My world revolves around him . I set my alarm between 7 and 7:30. Making sure he's all set when he wakes up , water dripper. Fogger , freshly dusted crickets and hand misting the cage. Oh yes turn his basking light on. He goes down to sleep between 5 and 6 in the evening at night I pretty much stay home at that time. I know he can't hear me but...As he moves to his favorite sleeping place.... I'll say don't go to sleep it's still light out.LOL.

Ok there is no way my husband will let me get away with a $300 cage unless I lived on the west coast so I will be ordering the diy cage size 24x24x48 I read it’s not as flimsy as some of the other ones ty guys

That’s good to hear because I need a new cage too.LOL

The repribreeZe cages are fine, dragon strand cages are awesome but shopping can get them up there, just make sure you set up your cage properly 24x24x48 imo and you will be perfectly fine, I set it up as any other adult cage but added small bunches of branches for my little panther to make his way up and down the cage, I cup feed so food is not an issue

I never thought about cup feeding but that would ease my mind that a tiny panther would be able to find his food.

Also any idea how long I need to bake the branches and what temp also, I read somewhere on the forum that using thumb tacks is the best way to set them up ??? How does the weight not make wholes ?
