Cage stand ideas

Hi everyone,
I'm currently having to come up with a new idea for a stand for George's cage. It is 79cm width x 40cm depth with a custom drain fitted, which has up until now been sat atop a wooden TV cabinet with a hole drilled through for the drain tube. Due to water spillage this cabinet has become a little worse for wear and I'm looking to swap it out ASAP. Due to the odd dimensions of his cage I'm struggling a little to come up with something. His cage is situated in my living room so needs to be somewhat aesthetic. I was considering using a parrot seed catcher and stand, but am unable to locate them anywhere to buy by themselves (without all of the parrot perches/cage etc!), something along these lines: http://www.perchfactory.com/bird_floor_stands/metal_floor_bird_stands_large.htm
If anyone UK based knows where I could buy something along these lines, or indeed the seperate parts to put together my own that would be a great help! Or any alternative ideas. I did think about buying a glass topped cabinet and removing the glass, but finding one the correct size is proving impossible!
Thanks :)

It might be easiest to make your own frame out of wood 2x2 or 2x4s, or pvc pipe and fittings, as you could make it the exact size you need. If you need a solid top to support the cage's weight you could cut a piece of plywood, water seal it, and drill your drain hole. You could paint the frame however you like to match your room once its all assembled together.

When I need a stand I sweet talk my boyfriend lol, he knows how to weld. I've had stands made of square tubing welded together. Painted steel or aluminum so it doesn't rust. To keep cost down, you could hot glue Velcro all the way around the edge, and use a material of your choice to close in the cabinet. Sorry I don't have any pics on hand to show. Metal suppliers can cut for you if you give them measurements, some will even assemble, or can point you in the right direction.

It would be easier if I was at all capable of making something myself, haha. :p This is the main reason I'm struggling, I'm looking more for something I can modify rather than build from scratch myself. I was trying to avoid wood entirely just for longevity.
