Cage Steup and other things

Recently Little has been needing to have medicine but I noticed he hasn't been drinking enough water for the last two days and hasn't been really like to be misted much either I did change his water bottle though so maybe he's picky? Also I had a question about his cage, he used to move around it all the time and sometimes he still will but he's more active when I take him out. I'm wondering if perhaps the branches have gotten to small or if he feels too cramped. Like he'll go to sleep at the near top but in the morning he nearer at the bottom where the branches are thicker. However he didn't do that last night he stayed put so I thought also he could have been from him being sick recently. I'd take any advice. Also I noticed he had a little spot on his tongue when he was drinking water I told the vet about it and so he's on antibiotics but I wanted to know has anyone had that happen before this new to me. Sometimes he seems a hundred percent better and sometimes he seems only 50.I'm including pictures. Thanks guys.

Ugh, he's been needing medicine so I'm curious as to if that may make him want to drink less? In case it wasn't clear. Any other ways to get him to drink?

Running a dripper through the day is a good if you aren't already so he can freely drink if you're just relying on spraying by hand or even a misting system. Mine doesn't drink too often when the misting comes, but will sit and get sprayed, he seems to like drinking off leaves I run the dripper into.
What size is your enclosure? It's nice looking with the schefflera it looks like?
:)
Maybe add some more horizontal places he can lay under his basking lights so he can lay out flat and close to the uvb and heat if needed, about 6" under the bulbs would be good.

I will try the dripper and see what he thinks lol. The cage is 18x18x36 and yes it is a schefflera :) . It was perfect for when he was a baby, but maybe is it time for him to move out?

Yes panthers do well in a 24x24x48.
You have many options for this size cage, I recommend dragon strand. I'm sure you've seen them on here mentioned. High quality and the best customer service you can ask for. These are engineered for chameleons by chameleon people. A little more than a typical enclosure but worth every penny and then some.

Thank you so much for you help I will look into that and also I got the dripper, I honestly don't know why I didn't go this route before. Thanks.

You're very welcome. To be honest I'm new to chams myself, but, this forum is full of nice and helpful people. My chams breeder is very helpful too. And of course books and books lol.
I think you'll do fine, just ask questions and read anytime you have the spare time. I'm always learning new and interesting facts.

Speaking from my experience not with reptiles, but as a nurse, my first thought with any sort of spotting or discoloration in the mouth during a course of medication/antibiotics would be thrush.

Not sure if it's something that even can occur with chameleons, but I figured it was worth mentioning all the same.
