hey everyone, posted a few days ago about some 2x2x4 cages i got that needed cleaning. Working on getting them cleaned up and i want to put carpet chameleons in them. would a cage that big be too big? I know carpets can be rather small but i always thought more room the better. lemme know what you guys thinks!

For the most part, as long as they can find their food easily enough, a large cage should be fine. That's generally the biggest concern with large cages so if you can be sure that it won't be an issue, I say go for it.

I think they should be fine. You can always set up a big container with food in it and branches coming down close to it, so they can easily find their food. I don't think a lot of space is an issue with an adult cham, after all, they do pretty well in the wild, so 2x2x4 of space isn't anything compared to that.

I just got a cb pair and they are going in 30" X 18". So 48 X24 isnt that much larger. I wouldnt put young chams in a cage that big. But its fine for an adult.

yeah i was planning on getting adult chams anyway. thanks guys!! good thinking with the food bowl too thank you
