I'm from southern California, most of the year it is definitely dry. I wouldn't say you need a glass cage, but I'm sure you could put one to use to help humidity levels.

How cold? I know a lot of people over there dont have heat so surprisingly gets chilly when the weather drops

it doesn’t snow here but it gets damn near close at times, we don’t use heat we just rely on blankets. im worried about ella getting too cold. i don’t know the exact temperature but it’s the same as outside usually, my finger tips go numb lol.

most the time it gets in the 40s , so the glass should do better ?

Idk how well the glass will do at keeping temp up at night. Might be better off just getting a CHE+thermostat

If you really want glass, go glass, I'm just saying it's probably not 100% necessary. CHE is ceramic heat, you only want it to raise the temp up to 50 or so.
