Calci worms hatching to soldier flies

Hey guys, was going to buy some calci worms for my little guy and since they hatch into soldier flies which would be another good insect to add to the list of what I give him. So I was wondering if there was any guides on the pupate process I can read or if any off you guys have any tips or no what to do

I just dump them in a tall clear plastic container with a bit of gutter guard leaning on the side, or a stick. That way I can see when one of the pupae has become a fly. I'm guessing there's probably a better way to do it, but that's what I've been doing. :)
The first time I had one turn into a fly, it scared the crap out of me. They were in the little tub they come in, and I had picked it up to feed a phoenix worm to my guy. The tub started vibrating in my hand, it took me off guard.

collect the fly if you can set up a small compost bin with a place for the flys to hatch.. and now you are breeding the buggers:) Also if pupation is a issue, lower temps, less light keeps them from pupation, and even when you get a fly.. they really are dependent on light times..

I have big plans to breed them in the summer to turn dog poop and kitchen scraps into high protein chicken feed :) buggers are really GOOD composters!!..

alternative, feed it to your cham.. they don't bite or sting :)

adults only live a short wile.. so turn it loose in your chams cage.. see if they will catch and eat it.. don't worry if it escapes.. they need really warm temps to function..12 hrs of light to lay.. its winter.. not so much.. as such they are kind of HARD to breed off summer season in captivity in the US.. but... no worries about the house.. if you live in a warm environment.. NOT even close to a problem compared to fruit flys, or house flys.. they really like warm and decaying material.. :)
These guys exist in many areas of the US, yet not a lot of people are familiar with them.. Why don't breed easily or become a pest.. unlike flys, hornworms, house crickets.. :)

What's the ideal temps for the worms to be kept at for the to pupate and to hatch at? Do they like being kept worm like wax worms/moths?
