i am gutloading the locusts/crickets and then sprinkeling nutrobal on them before feeding to my chameleon (clive). i find it quite difficult to get the nutrolbal and calcium on the insecets and have thought about putting a little in the mist i stray on the leaves for him to drink.
any thoughts on this?

yeah its not a good idea, it would get in your chams eyes like Juli said and it will create unsightly spots on your plants when the water dries.

Hi Kev! I'm from the IW too!! :D

With regard to dusting the food with supplements I find it easier to put a small pinch of calcium powder or nutrabol in a small sandwich bag, put the bugs in and give a shake to give them a light dusting. :D Easier than holding them down or sprinkling them with it!!

How old is your chameleon and have you posted any pics yet?

hi there yes thats how i dust my crickets, put them into a sandwich bag with the dust and it works a treat for me.

problem seems to be that if you free roam crickets for example, calcium etc dosent stay on for long. I add the suppliments sprinklled on gutloading food in the cricket tub aswell, hopefully some will be ingested by the crickets.

Any tips on dusting houseflys?
