Should I give my new Cham non gut loaded crickets or skip a feeding for today? Help

No. I have the shooting gallery attached to the doors of my enclosures and also have my mist king heads in the front above the door. Occasionally there might be a drip down, but being against the screen and having a small slant, it can’t hold water.

Oooo I didn’t even think of putting it on the door that’s a great idea.

The door is the best place IMO. This way you can open the door and put your bugs in it while not having to be inside the enclosure (invading your chameleons personal space lol). It's also just easier, I've found.

For me, the misters simply don't hit that because it's to the outside and my misters are aimed specifically at plants inside the enclosure. To a degree.

With that being said, I only put crickets in the window feeder. And the occasional silk moth. Whenever I am feeding silkworms, and/or BSFL, I actually use a bird cup like pictured (took this pic just now from his cam while at work lol sorry about the.......plug grossness) He already ate the silkworm out of there so its just BSFL left over.

Now this cup I have to be careful with. I can only put it in the morning after the mister goes on and I have to remove it at night before they go on again. Otherwise it fills up with water. Which......I've had happen a couple times 🙃

How close are you staying to the enclosure once you've put the feeders in? With my younger ones they prefer that I back up before they actually start hunting - I sit on a chair across the room so I can still monitor that they're eating everything, and they watch me between bites.

I've been working on building trust with worms, slowly, but at 3 months I would think he would still be fairly skittish.

I try and release one and back up I’m just very nervous about the crickets getting lost in the cage so I stay closer. That might be what is putting him off. Update tho today I am trying out my diy feeder and he seems very interested in it keep walking up to it staring at the crickets then taking a lap around the cage. I think once he figures out what it’s for he’ll be good.

Opening and reaching in multiple times might be what's stressing him out IMO. I know the Kammerflage babies are fed free-range, so he should at least be used to that. If you wanted to try free-range I would do so in the morning and I would suggest releasing a few at a time, not just one, to see if the movement of more gets him a bit more excited. You can stay close enough to monitor how many he's eaten so you're sure that he gets them all. Otherwise I think the shooting gallery is a great option.
