D3 is used once a week. I alternate each Sunday between calcium with d3 and reptivite with d3. I use calcium with out d3 the other days.

You should be using calcium without d3 every feeding and calcium with d3 every 2 weeks. You should also be giving vitamins every 2 weeks as well.

Calcium is needed for strong bones but can't be used by the chameleon without it having D3. It's best if the D3 is produced by its exposure to the UVB light...but to ensure it gets some without overdosing it we say to use it lightly twice a month. D3 from supplements can build up in the system and lead to health issues but D3 from UVB won't as long as the chameleon can move in and out if the UVB at will. Hope this helps!
