Hey since the name of my other post didnt catch attention, I knew it wouldnt:rolleyes:

I have this young male veiled that I would like to see what some experts have to say about his pattern and if it could possibly be a new morph of veileds, I will probably line breed with him to see what comes of it.
But realy I have seen nothing like this so I would like to see whats up with him?

Here are the pics

I don't know anything about morphs, but he is a gorgeous little man! It'll be cool to see him when he starts to show his adult colouring!:D

Hmm.. Looks a bit odd (morphy) but i could also be this before shedding, but how long has he been looking like this?

He is unusual for a veiled, looks really neat. I would love to watch him grow and see what he looks like.

Yeah me too so thats why I made the thread bolt, my new veiled, so I will update on there and here so we can check how hes doing, right now he eats like crazy and hes growin faster than any veiled I have ever had.

Beautiful lil guy! Were any of his siblings with similar patterns?

None of his siblings are the same, I hope he keeps the pattern and it follows into his offspring.
then maybe I will have a new morph and I can start something pretty cool:p

There really are no veiled "morphs" that I am aware of.
There are genetic mutations, ie: translucent.
The industry has created "morphs", turquoise, high yellow, etc. but these traits do not always pass down to subsequent generations.
I have not seen a pattern like that on a baby veiled before, but from my experience they are all different to some degree.
It will be very interesting to see what happens as he gets older.

Odd patterning on veileds is pretty common, wile this particular pattern isn't "normal" I don't know that I would call him a morph. The term "morph" is usually used to describe unusual and new colors. This guy is too young to see just what colors he is going to have or if wither or not they are "new" is going to take some time.

Still he is very beautiful and certainly unique.

Edit: Brad you wouldn't call the trans a morph? Or what about the blues that made all the commotion at the recent show, that Chris A mentioned having known about. Then there is the guy over seas (Africa) I believe that is working with the ones showing extreme amounts of black markings. Just curious to get your thoughts on this.

We would first have to define morph vs. genetic mutation.
It's splitting hairs ... perhaps these terms are synonymous.
I have not personally seen a blue veiled.

Indeed. Giving this some more thought. I believe the only true "morph" would be the blue's but their existence has yet to be proven to the forum.
