Calling all Lefties!

I think lefty scissors were created by right-handed people with good intentions but they end up frustrating us. I just use regular scissors backwards. Manual can openers and power saws are also annoying
Im right handed so i may not have any say in this but i never got the point of lefty scissors! Just flip the regular scissor there's no point for a whole 'nother product.

That's to funny I'm the exact opposite
Here's my crazy thought process. I want my meat hot 'n juicy. Same with starches. Cold potatoes suck! And since veggies taste the same cold or hot, I dont care if they are cold by the time I get there. And fruit is typically served cold, and since it's sweet, it's kind of like dessert.

I understand that I however went to a military School we had 10mins to eat so I scarfed everything else down and took my time with the meat as it's my favorite so that type of mentality has stuck I guess

My hubby was in the Navy and even though he has been out for 2 decades, he still scarfs down EVERY meal!

Well I think him for his service I personally spent so much time living that life style growing up I was done with it when I turned 17
I will give him your thanks. He spent 14 years on nuclear submarines, and loved every minute of it. He wanted to do the full 20, or more, but got forced out because of a stupid injury that happened when he was on leave. He had a pillow fight with his stepson, and ended up with a very small tear in his miniscus. Sucks, because he really loved it! And now he is screwed and gets absolutely nothing for his time, dedication, and sacrifice.

That is truly sum bs I don't care if you serve one day or 50 years the government should make sure you feel the appreciation

That's a great thing to say- I love this forum too, It's given me a lot of help, info and support but also as you say because there are other artists here-
I think as an artist you can't help but look at things differently- colours- what colours-how would i mix that colour- how would i achieve that texture through drawing or painting.
This has been a really interesting topic and fascinating to see so many talented artists, musicians, bakers, writers and so many others even if they don't know how talented they are- we all have special gifts.
What I'd like to know is what sort of art do you do? Sorry if I've missed that if you have already said.

I am incredibly busy and long for a time where I will have time to enjoy doing all the art that I enjoy doing. Through the years I have done painting in nearly all media, I love playing a couple of different musical instruments, I enjoy sculpting and pottery a lot! I also love singing and poetry! My wife and I are both excellent cooks! It feels amazing to call the boys for lunch and to watch their eyes pop out of their heads when they see the meal we have prepared for them and the joy it brings me to listen to their animalistic moans as they eat bring so much joy to me! It took me years to paint each boys bedrooms. The theme in the oldest boys room is Nemo and the youngest boy Peter Rabbit. I am one of 5 boys. My mother insisted that we all learn how to knit, sew and crochet. I have two daughters (from a previous marriage)with terminal conditions (discovered long after the devorce) so my financial needs are off the chart. I have two jobs and breed chameleons as a third job and as part of our home schooling! Our boys learn sooo much because of this home buisiness. They (ages 8 and 10) have to help with every aspect of the buisiness including bug colony care. Every time we ship a chameleon they have to learn all about the place we are shipping to (population dynamics, economy, agriculture, history etc.) It is so much fun! We have a map of the USA that we put a pin in every time we ship a chameleon to indicate their new home! It is sooo educational and fun!

This is awesome I really enjoyed reading your post and seeing these wall paintings(y)

The wall paintings are really beautiful as is the story of your boys- very heartwarming to hear such incredible care and love, I like the combo of fun and learning about all the places the chams travel off to, great idea, Funnily enough sometimes I see posts like Link's one the other day about helping Turtles at Weymouth Harbour -which I have no idea where it is- and so there I go with the ipad and I'm learning about allsorts of places where you guys are in the US ! I'm in West Sussex- U.K-
The boys must love those paintings as do all their friends I bet- there's a nice feeling of depth to them too. Beatrix Potter did some beautiful watercolour studies of Fungi and animals as well as the illustrations in her books, she was so talented.
Hats off to you! Great to see other people's work, Loving the Blue Jay- carved wood?
As well as Taxidermy I used to carve game fish- I learnt from WASCO taxidermy books from the US- brilliant and such high quality carving and taxidermy artists you have .
Thanks for the stories, fascinating to hear :)
