Calling All Snake PEOPLE!

You could try putting small guinea pig in a critter keeper? Maybe it would attract the snake? Or you can craigslist two little mousies and keep them as pets after. They don't need that much space. They need a friend though, hence why I said two. :)

Lol! Trust me, I would LOVE to have a couple of pet mice but the bf won't let me. Lol! I did lots a lot of BEGGING I guess you can call it, in order for me to get the piggies and NOW he wants me to place them into another home. :( I mean, I understand. In our bedroom we have my 2 Tokay Geckos, 2 Crested Geckos, 2 Corn Snakes, 6 Tarantulas, 1 Gopher Snake, 1 Scorpion, AND my 2 Chams. :D Oh and the 2 piggies... But i'll figure something out for Damien.

Tell him to get a new home. :) Most of those animals don't even take up very much room! Build a $4 wood rack for the snakes, geckos, and arachnids. Then maybe make another small stand to put the chameleons over the pig cage. Supposing you have room for that anyways. It saves space though! :D

No, I tried the bag thing and also set a heat pad under a towel with his hide on top and a few dirty towels I used to clean out my Guinea Pig cage and nothing. :( I'm going to leave he hide and heat pad out for another night. I moved stuff around but no luck.

Would he be able to get in behind your tv (or are you posh and have a flat screen tv lol) - really anywhere where theres electrical wires he's likely to find a heat source - or maybe in behind your other vivs ?

We have a huge TV. I'm going to sneak a peek back there... That little booger, he's worrying me and I don't know what to do. I live on the second floor of an apartment complex, just hope he doesn't find his way into someone elses home.

haha is it likely? might be worth mentioning it to the neighbours!

Oh god no. Lol! I'm sure they would FREAK! The door is ALWAYS closed so I doubt it but hope not. Lol! (sigh) Damien Damien...

Thought I would update everyone! I found DAMIEN!! Found him last night. After everyone went to bed (my brother in law sleeps in the living room) my brother in law went out to his car to get something and when he came back, he found Damien on our DVD rack. Lol! Good climbers they are. I went out, grabbed him, fed him 6 fat mice (he came out of his hunger strike) and put him back in his tank. :D I'm making sure I keep pins on the lid this time at all times. :)

LOl Prettyinink, glad you found your ball, but reading your earlier comment re pet mice???
My mind boggles! Not that you would like pet mice, but that as a snake keeper??
These ones are pets like stewart little, those ones are ball food?
How do you manage such a mental/emotional feat? :)

Absolutely very happy for you! Keep that bugger locked in tight! Hope you can de-stress now....

Thank you! I know, I put 2 pins in the holes where there were supposed to be pins. Lol! He's safe and sound in his cage.

Gratz PrettyInInk87

Thank you! :D

Lol! Yes the reason why I don't feed my snakes live mice is because they would end up as pets even though they were meant as food. I just love animals too much to watch them suffer and not to mention, they can even hurt my snakes with a bite.

Sad news everyone, just when I found Damien my Gopher snake George and both my Corn Snakes decide they want to plan an escape. :( Luckily my son spotted my Snow Corn snake as he was slithering away behind my other tanks but when I looked into my corns tank, my Albino Corn Marley was gone as well as my Gopher Snake. I couldn't believe it! :( I turned our bedroom upside down and literally pulled everything out to look for them but no luck. It has been 2 days 2 nights since Marley escaped and 4 for George. (sigh)

when i was in the dorms I lost my kingsnake for about 3 weeks. I ended up finding him curled up inside one of my dresser drawers INSIDE my sweater. I had checked the drawers repeatedly but never thought to life the clothes individually...sure enough when I came to wear that sweater 3 weeks later, what a surprise to find him inside!

although my dorm room was sealed so I knew for sure he couldn't escape...you might not be so lucky.

perhaps try to make a warm dark spot to lure him to? and check your clothes!

doh you found him already ><

Well, I found Damien which is the reason I originally posted but like I said in my last post, after losing and finding him after a few days, my other 3 snakes ESCAPED! My son found my Snow Corn snake but the other 2 are still on the loose. I looked and looked for both but they are TINY compared to DAmien my adult Ball. :( I looked in drawers and took everything out of the bedroom including our bed and nothing. I just hope they appear somewhere and don't eat one another. I'm glad you found your little guy, my heart is hurting SO bad.

GOOD LUCK... my cat found my snake, luckily no injuries. next time my mom found it. Look near any warm places like others have said, and block exists and small holes to the house.

Bad thing about it is that I found a small hole in the corner of the bedroom large enough for both to slither through. I blocked it but now i'm thinking I should unblock it, hope they didn't find their way into it and now they are stuck.:( I'm so upset. I'll be moving out soon so want to find them before that.

Quick story. Before I moved out my female bearded dragon Luna got knocked up by my male. I Had her lid open because no one went in my room ever because it was detached from the main house. I come back to see my mom left the door open and Luna was no where to be found. I TORE APART the entire room didn't find her. Two weeks pass. Had a party in the room, no siting of her. The next day, we see her chilling on my bed.

Moral of the story...

Don't lose hope, reptiles are great hiders.
