She is so pretty Janet <3 omg I love her colors and the splashes of lavender and baby blue with the kind of burnt umber across her nose. So gorgeous <3

Thank you. I don't have an understanding of their colors yet, but I think those are receptive colors. Or maybe just not gravid colors. I'm just learning them. I am really enjoying them.

They seem to have very little known about them compared to some of the other Calummas. But they are absolutely adorable and just seem very... shy in the way female jacksons kind of are as far as I have experienced. I love them already and I am just living through you XD

I think they are a really neat species. That female was just snapping up bug after bug with my phone in her face. They may become my favorite species.

They seem to be settling in well then. I remember when you first brought them home and they seemed rather nervous for the majority? But that was a couple months ago. It seems like the imports are calming down quickly. Which is always nice to see, it's harder to deal with a wild caught who is anxious and also sick. Hard to tell what's going on. So happy for all of you, chameleons and you yourself, for finding each other. They will definitely thrive under your care <3

That is great to hear Janet. They are worthy of that kind of praise "favorite species". Calumma malthe is a species I am going to keep again.

Best Regards

I like em too, she looks sweet and the subtitle coloring on the brown is just awesome!

I think you are thinking of my original male I bought in April 2016. He was very shy. I think Jeremy @Motherlode Chameleon found the pair he had shy. I haven't found them very shy. They don't sit out in the open the way my quads and graciliors do. They seem to want more cover and dense planting near the ground. I keep them in planted cages. They also seem to dig a bit.

I had one female in a lay bin escape from a tub with a screen top. The top was just plastic coated hardware cloth bent into a lid. It wasn't perfectly flat so she had to wiggle over the t op and down around the wire lid. Very UN-chameleon behavior. That makes me think they like rooting around near the ground.

It's so interesting, they do seem to show different behaviors. And they are totally adorable with their pointy rodent faces <3

The occipital lobes are cool...but it's the pastel blue eyes that I love. She is looking great, Janet. I hope you are getting more comfortable with them.

I love the pastel pink and blues, that's for sure. This female is in with your favorite, Lichen. Yes, I am getting more comfortable with them but the females are making me insane not laying and digging....

Not knowing their colors is a pain in the butt for sure, I am crossing my fingers for you. She looks like she is wearing some eye shadow <3
