Camiezone babies from Homer and Big Girl

I am loving how differently beautiful all of these babies look. We’ve got the full rainbow. 🌈🥰

Wanted to share some update pics of my two babies! Hercules just shed and is growing and eating like a champ. Same with Bonnie, she has grown so much!!!! I just love the teals on her cheek and her oranges too 😊 View attachment 345996View attachment 345995
Beautiful! We’ve all been showing off our little boys, so it’s especially wonderful to see a stunning little girl showing off. 🥰

@MissSkittles so apparently I don't have a butterfly tent but I ended up making one out of the cage I was going to use for Sherbert's vet appointment. I added a different mesh to it, so they cant get out. Im misting them two times a day, (morning and afternoon) and they seem to be doing well. I don't think they are going to come out for a while, but hoping they do soon. How do you tell when they are ready to "hatch" I want to know for if I wait for them to lay eggs and when I need to get the chow stuff. Thanks!!

Pardon my crappy memory - are you talking about the hornworms? I just have mine set on some lightly moistened coco coir and sitting in their enclosure, which is from a chameleon kit. Be careful not to over-moisten them. It takes about a month or so for them to hatch, if they are going to. If you touch them or pick them up, they should give a little wriggle. However, I have had some that wriggled for months but never emerged. I don’t know what happened but I only gave up when there was no more wriggle. I am always surprised when they hatch. I hear strange fluttering noises and it’s them flapping around. This is what I currently have set up. Along with gratuitous pic of sweet Bart. 😊 After going thru lots of hornworm chow packets, I just bought some Repashy Superhorn and I can easily make up as much as I need. The moths ‘eat’ like hummingbirds - sugar water nectar from a hummingbird feeder. I collect the eggs daily and they hatch quickly! Maybe 2-3 days or so and you’ll see all these little moving eyelashes.

I’m here to report that Bert is a very boring and lovable chameleon. Ever since I moved him into an open communal area he relaxed and doesn’t fire up, screen climb, hiss, puff up, or gape. He’s a people watcher like Tony. He eats from my hand but has no interest in being held. I reach into his enclosure and see the googly eyes moving around but that’s about it. He doesn’t move. Mr personality is now Mr reliable.
I'm so happy to hear that he seems much more content and relaxed now. The easiest way to "tane" hom, is same as w kids: Bribe. Only offer him treats from your hand, and leave enclosure door open, maybe make him a open range area. Fairly quickly he will realize coming out requires handcontact. Your on right track and he looks great.
