Those beetles FREAK me out. Breeder size dubia, no biggie. But those black nasty beetles, arghhhh makes my skin crawlI have a superworm infestation that I haven’t yet found. I didn’t put the lid on since they’re worms…they can’t climb. Yeah…I never imagined the nosy cat would knock over their little container. I found it the next morning. Most stayed put in the spilled bran and hiding beneath the container. No idea how many escaped and where they went. I imagine one day I’ll be totally freaked out when the darkling beetles start showing up.
I seriously like those beetles and my parson's loves them, seeing them makes her move heaven and earth to get it

Yessir. Get a good quality brand. The background is more of a cloth so regular tape may not stick well. Im actually in the process of removing the background and wrapping 80% of the cage with clear window insulation (chimney effect) then reattach background behind it. I live in SoCal, right now its cold and dry so trying to do my best to keep the humidity in. Plants are helping but having a giant open front screen doesnt help trap the humidity. Hope this helps!
Thanks, Keith! My cage has a transparent acrylic sheet over the screen and front door. I wanted to add the same background you’ve got from Amazon to block the two sides of the cage. Maybe I will use the double sided tape and transparent duct tape to make sure it will not fall.

Yikes! Hopefully in the spots that they found to hide there’s still some remnant of pesticide that will do them in. The last time I sprayed that room was a couple of months before the animals were moved into it, which was quite a while ago. I do have ant and roach traps set up in the dark corners though since I can’t spray.I know those beetles like wood, so be careful
