Can anyone see problems with my set up?

After adopting an unwanted deremensis from an unwilling keeper knowing lil to nothing about chameleons, but having experience with boids and arachnids.

so after asking for help on this forum i did the best set up i could so im going to lay it out, if anyone has any improvements or think i have it down comments are most welcome and appreciated.

.i have my male deremensis in a 4 foot hight 2 foot wide, by 1 foot deep flexarium by exo terra.

on top of the viv i have a 60 cm long,20W reptisun tube 5.0 uvb on a timer 12 hours on 12 hours off.

in his cage (which is across from a window with plants in front of it) is a potted dwarf umbrella plant that takes up most his cage) with vines and fake plants every which way possible)

I feed him 6-7 insects a day a cricket and worm mix from a tuperware container hanging in his cage, and dust them every third day or so with calcium without d3

im using a lil dripper drip system from zilla which is constantly yet ver slowly dripping onto a few leaves of my umbrella plant,

his humidity hovers around 40 percent for most the day (using a room cool air humidifier, giving the tank a good soaking 3 times daily where for a short while humidity jumps to 80%

i have a small house fan running for half the day for air circulation, i always keep the door closed for humidity purposes

room temp is around 85 degrees during the day dropping to 74 at night ,,, is this way too warm?

anyway any feedback would be great

Pictures would be good. I would also ditch the fan, they can dry out their eyes.

way too hot and not humid enough for a deremensis, you will want to keep it in the 70s with a basking temp of 75, and then have a night time drop into the 60s. Your humidity should be at least 70, but could be higher. What "worms" do you feed him.

Yes, I agree. 85 degrees for an ambient room temp is too hot for almost any chameleon. If you can, bring the room temperature down about 10 degrees.

Thanks alot any suggestions on how to drop temps without losing humidity?

Add some more plants and lower the bulb wattage alot. You could put shower curtains on 3 of the sides which will help hold in humidity. Keep using the humidfier on and off thoughout the day and im sure youll be fine

Why only use the humidifier on and off throughout the day? If it is a cool air humidifier, i think it should be used 24/7. It would maintain humidity levels, as well as keep air moving around in the room, which would help to bring down the room temperature. I also use a cool air humidifier, and I actually have to use a heater to keep the room temperature up because of how cold the room can get with it running all the time. If you can, I would run your humidifier as much as possible.

would 3 sides covered up be ok for air flow?
