Can chameleons and anols be housed together??

I have witnessed many chameleons eating anoles. Anoles can carry and transmit parasites among other things, I wouldn't risk it.

We had an Anole hatch from a potted plant we had in our T. quadricornis cage. The quadricornis were 4 months old at the time and I didn't think they would mind nor did the Anole mind the free crickets and such. Well, the quadricornis were in the middle of a growth spurt and I don't think the Anole lasted but a week or so. I was rather surprised actually. Point is, even small chameleons are opportunistic. ;-)

I had a dumpy treefrog and an adult anole together when I was a kid, I came in one day and the anoles tail was sticking out of the dumpys mouth. They are actually pretty nutritious for chams, I know someone who feeds them to their females when they are producing eggs for nutrition.

I was just being funny Benny.

But eventually the Panther will grow. ;) I'm not telling you anythig you don't know.

edit: I was just looking through the scores of videos on youtube showing chams eating anoles and came across this one and found it pretty interesting.

I tried putting an anole in with my first melleri a few years ago to see if she would go after it. She wanted nothing to do with it so that was the end of that. I have had many species of chams since then but haven't tried since.

I had a wild caught panther that was a very picky eater. I used to let him free roam on my back porch, and wondered why my anole population was dwindling. The I saw him with a tail hanging out of his mouth one day. He absolutely loved those things!

My bad Benny, I'm confusing Lats for Panthers. Of course a carpet would have a hard time eating an anole.

Just LMAO @ Chuck! That's a visual I could have done without.
