Can chameleons sees their owners pain?

So you how if u have a dog and ur sick or injured they won't leave u alone? Whe ur sick or injured you dog can sense it and they are there to comfor you, well at least that's what my dog does. Do chameleons do the same thing? I broke my toe last night and everytime I open his cage for he runs over to me!! He is generally a really friendly chameleon but it's weird bc he is shedding rn and usually when he does shed he wasn't nothing to do with me. He even declined a big juicy hornworm to run into my hand!!

Im almost certain my cham likes to see me in pain.
He lets me stand for minutes with a stretched out arm and not take the food that I offer.

But seriously, no, I'm pretty sure caring isn't one of their emotions.

I have one that knows what my pain looks like, little ambanja loves to take a bite out of fingers whenever he has the chance.
