Awhile back we were looking for Veileds at one of the Florida locales. I spotted a female on a branch overhanging the other side of a small canal. My friend took a very long branch and reached over the canal to try to capture her. He accidentaly knocked her down into the canal instead.

She swam fine for a few minutes and he fished her out.

I've always been under the impression that most four legged animals have the ability to swim, to some degree. Even arboreal animals such as Sloths have been documented swimming.

I have seen Furcifer pardalis swim. I think Trioceros jacksonii ssp. would be capable of swimming too.

I'm in ❤ with that video!!! Its SO awesome to see in a natural habitat like that, literally made my day thanks for sharing! Now i REALLY want to see my cham swim ??? i think i would be to scared to go through with it HOWEVER isn't swimming THE BEST excersize for your body? I would imagine its the same case for chams too no? Im guna make my guy start doing laps in a kiddie pool....Ill even hook him up with a swim cap to keep his casque dry? ??☠☠☠

I’m really hoping that you are both joking. If your cham’s can’t swim, they will sink and most likely aspirate water, not to mention the extreme stress.
