First I thought it was coincedence, but after watching my guyz, I found that Noogie and Squee will both beg to come out of their cages when they see Smeagie is out and about.
They are not affraid of Smeagie as long as they watch him from inside their comfort zone, but it's like, 'hey! he gets to come out, how bout me!!??'

Of course, I cant let them out at the same time.

Smeagie can be less then hospitible to other chams and has a tendency to charge after them while all puffed-up and gapping.
Pretty scary if your a little cham!!

So I have to find other places in the house to let them roam free.

Noogie likes to get on my shoulder and just enjoy my body heat and free rides.
When he looks at something and moves a few steps twords it, I assume he wants to go check it out. So if it looks safe, I just extend my arm to that spot and Noogie will use it as a bridge to get there from my shoulder.
It's sort of a little understanding communication we have.

When he's done checking it out, he will give me a sign, like staring at me, and moving slightly to me as I approch. He just gets right on my hand and up to the shoulder again, and off we go to some other exciting adventure! :D

Squee is new to the free range. One time he wanted out and I let him climb my arm forgetting that Noogie was on my other shoulder.
Squee dissapeared from my veiw behind my head, I heard a 'hiss', then, 'thud'!! I almost had a heart attack! Squee saw Noogie, freaked out and did the dreaded "suicide drop" and landed, dumbfounded, on my Lay-Z-Boy recliner! LOL

Of course, he was okay, and Noogie was totally clueless of what happened as usual :D

No point or purpose whatsoever to this post, just another day in the life of a cham Dad :D

Thats a funny story lol suicide drop kills me everytime i see it . One of my offspring i sold to my cousin drops all the time it is the funniest thing i went by to see what was wrong he told me his cham keeps falling!! So i couldnt figure out what it could be his husbandry is great lol so when i get to his place to see what he is talking about i just watched him for a couple minutes seemed fine so i open the cage fine put my finger towards him a bit he puffed at me i was moving slow of course as soon as i entered his space he just let go!! I couldnt believe it so i reach to the bottom he ran up to i put my hand close to him he just dropped again! Lmao so i finally got him on my hand after a couple suicide bombings lol he is turning out to be quite a character . Its hard to believe when they just drop like that.

Lol last time I had Ringo and Starr out together, she just climbed all over Ringo. Ringo was like "Wtf! Why the heck is she climbing on me!?!?"

LOL!! I know it, suicide drop can be pretty comical when it's harmless.
Smidget used to drop to the floor every time I stuck my hand in his cage for feeding!!
It was so funny, from up out of nowhere, 'plop', then he just looks up at me with stink eye that wont quit, and slowly slinks back up to his hidding place with one eye fixed on me all the time :D

Like, he was already totally hidden from me, then he falls from above practicly into my hand!! LOL

This cracks me up. I just love their little personalities!! I have never witnessed a "suicide drop" but when I do, I will probably have a heart attack. Lol Sounds like you have your hands full :D

Funny story, and I have never witnessed this suicide drop either, my veiled has dropped off the tables and desk, but I think that is only because he couldn't hold on to the slick surface, and he does this several times a day and that scares the crap out of me each time....but the suicide drop, that may scare me a lot more.

Neelix pulled the suicide drop last week. He came out his cage all on his own for a change & was riding on my head, when all of a sudden he decided to make like superman & launch himself across the room. Needless to say, he looked very undignified lying spread-eagled on the floor. Good job I'm a short-arse.

They don't drop for your entertainment. It's a flight response...................................................................................................................................

Haha...suicide bombings! *giggle* My first little girl did this to my hubby when I had her outside for some sunshine. We had been out for awhile and she had crawled to hubby and when he picked her up to bring her over to me, she ~l a u n c h e d~ herself out of his hands like a flying squirrel!! BANZAI!!! Luckily she landed on the newly cut and cushy grass so she was okay but it freaked the heck out of me - it was so sudden!!

yes first time i got rango putting him in his enclosure was a pain in the butt he did not want to go so he pulled a flying squirrel move.

This is true, but you know humans... We love to give human emotions to our pets!

I've never seen a suicide drop, but sounds pretty funny. Ripley just lets me know that she wants me to bugger off.
My baby does Egyptian dance though, cracks me up every time I see it.
